  • Plans, coordinates, and organizes departmental promotion activities for prospective students in cooperation with the faculty dean’s office.

  • Prepares and updates the content of the webpage created under the department website for promotional activities aimed at prospective students.

  • Determines the content of printed and other promotional materials and coordinates their design for promotional activities.

  • Organizes visits to official institutions or legal entities to enhance the recognition of the department and to facilitate joint projects with academic staff from other institutions.

  • Organizes meetings, social gatherings, and similar events to strengthen social relations among the department’s academic staff.

  • Ensures the development and updating of the department website.

  • Conducts studies and prepares proposals related to the development of the curriculum.

Graduate Education Committee

  • Coordinates and administers graduate admission exams.

  • Reviews applications for course exemptions/transfer and provides recommendations to the department board in line with departmental regulations.

  • Provides opinions on individual issues related to graduate studies (change of advisor, change of thesis topic, etc.).


Alumni, Industry and Occupational Relations Committee

  • Coordinates relations with alumni.

  • Collects and evaluates data related to alumni.

  • Reviews petitions submitted regarding alleged clerical errors in exam documents, obtains relevant documents from instructors, determines the existence of clerical errors, and reports findings to the department.

  • Reviews grade appeal cases referred through legal or administrative channels, conducts a preliminary evaluation within its authority, and forwards the matter for further processing.

  • If an appeal concerns a committee member, that member does not participate in the evaluation.

  • Evaluates applications under faculty exchange programs.


Course Exemption–Adaptation and Transfer Committee

  • Reviews courses previously taken by students transferring through lateral or vertical transfer and conducts course equivalency and adaptation procedures.

  • Reviews applications arising from educational amnesty regulations and provides departmental opinions.


Double Major/Minor Committee

  • Evaluates applications to double-major and minor programs and carries out the adaptation and course registration procedures.


Elective Courses and Graduation Project Committee

  • Conducts meetings with industry partners to secure support for projects within CE415 and CE416 courses; defines project topics resulting from these meetings and announces them to faculty members.

  • Coordinates the formation of project groups and assignment of advisors for CE415 at the beginning of each semester.

  • Determines project topics by considering students’ academic performance and preferences.

  • Provides students with necessary instructions throughout the project execution stages.

  • Defines the project evaluation method and submits it for approval by the Department Board.

  • Organizes project presentations.


Laboratory Development Committee

  • Identifies and improves the physical conditions and educational use patterns of existing laboratories.

  • Conducts feasibility studies to determine the need for new laboratories and prepares requirement lists to be submitted to the university administration.

  • Identifies shortcomings related to student safety and other issues in laboratories and takes necessary actions to resolve them.

  • Provides opinions on applications related to the establishment of new laboratories.

  • Engages in activities related to university–industry collaboration regarding laboratory use and associated updates.
