Pre-Internship Requirements

  • 5 Steps to Pre-Internship 
  1. Internship Application Form: First, have this form approved by the relevant person at your internship location, then obtain the signature of our department internship coordinator.
  1. Mandatory Intern Student Insurance Entry Form: The student must complete this form and submit it to the department..
  1. Health Insurance Eligibility Document: The student must print the file from https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/spas-mustahaklik-sorgulama and submit it to the department. 
  2. Fund Contribution Information Form for Internship Wages: This form, indicating whether the host organization will provide remuneration to the intern student, must be duly completed. In cases where payment is provided, the original receipt documenting the payment should be attached to this form. This requirement is waived for public institutions.
Post-Internship Requirements
  • Students are required to add the course CE 200 or CE 300 to their semester course registration, depending on the type of internship they have completed.
  • The Student Internship Performance Evaluation Form presented below must be filled out by the responsible civil engineer at the internship site/office and submitted to the Internship Committee Secretary in a sealed and approved envelope by the end of the Add/Drop period each semester. Additionally, the daily logs to be appended to the end of the internship report must be signed and approved by the responsible civil engineer

  • Internship reports prepared in accordance with the guidelines specified in the “Internship Report Template” document provided below must be submitted to the Internship Committee Secretary by the end of the Add/Drop period each semester. In addition, you are required to give a presentation following the completion of your internship. The presentation must follow the format provided in the “Summer Practice Presentation Template” below. Internships of students who do not attend the presentation will be considered unsuccessful.
  • Important Note 1: Internship reports and presentations prepared without using the formats provided below (Internship Report Template and Summer Practice Presentation Template) will be considered unsuccessful.
  • Important Note 2: The “Student Internship Performance Evaluation Form” and the “Daily Report” section within the Internship Report must be signed by a certified civil engineer. Otherwise, the internship report will be considered unsuccessful.

  • Copies of the internship reports (in PDF format) and internship presentations must be uploaded to the relevant CE 200 or CE 300 page on webonline.cankaya.edu.tr by the end of the Add/Drop period each semester.
  • Revised versions of internship reports, in PDF format, must then be re-uploaded to the relevant CE 200 or CE 300 page on webonline.cankaya.edu.tr. Additionally, upon request, the corrected hard copies must also be submitted to the faculty member who evaluated the report.
  • After the evaluation of the internship reports is completed, students are required to meet with the faculty member who evaluated their report, collect the evaluated copy, and make the necessary corrections (if any).
